Barbara Jane Rondo-
manski passed away at
home on March 25, 2025,
surrounded by family.
She was born on October
30, 1943, in Scranton,
Pennsylvania, to the late
Herbert and Agnes (Kel-
ly) Herbert. She was the
beloved wife of the late
Robert Rondomanski Sr.
Barbara attended
Scranton Technical High
School. She co-owned and
operated Romansky Ev-
ergreens and dedicated
over 30 years as a seam-
stress at Pawnee Pants. Later in life, she found pur-
pose and fulfillment as a home health aide, offering
care and companionship to the elderly.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother and
grandmother who deeply valued time with her fami-
ly. Barbara had a passion for yard sales and shopping,
delighting in the discovery of hidden treasures. A loy-
al supporter of her grandchildrens activities, she took
great pride in their accomplishments. A lifelong Elvis
Presley fan, one of her most cherished memories was
fulfilling her dream of visiting Graceland.
Barbara also had a special love for animals and
shared a close bond with her cat, Baby, who remained
her faithful companion for 20 years.
She is survived by her children: Kim Carlen and
husband Peter Carlen; Amy Peters and husband
Shawn Peters; Robert Rondomanski and fiancée Kel-
ly Walck; and Beth Rondomanski and husband Nolan
Harrington. She is also survived by her brother Her-
bie Herbert; grandchildren Amanda Lombardo,
Abbey Sotos, Shawn Michael Peters, Sam Carlen,
Jesse Carlen, and Cameron Pham; and great-grand-
children Melania Lombardo and Vivian Sotos.
Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter
Lisa Knowles and sister Peggy Maroni.
A blessing service will be held Friday at 12 noon at
Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut Street,
Dunmore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the
time of service. Interment will follow at Dunmore
Cemetery.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Hospice of
the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care. May
Barbaras memory bring comfort to those who knew
and loved her.
