Dec 5, 1951 - Mar 18, 2026
William George Manwill, lovingly known to many as "Will The Thrill Manwill," passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on March 18, 2026. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Will was born on December 5, 1951, in Martinez, California, to Bill and Darlene Manwill. He grew up in Concord, California, alongside his three siblings. Will was a proud graduate of Clayton Valley High School in 1970.
In 1970, Will answered the call to serve his country and joined the U.S. Navy, where he would eventually be stationed in Spain and Port Hueneme, California. After the Navy, he spent a 30-year career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where his work would take him to Hurricane Katrina relief and three tours in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
When he was 11 years old, Will met Kathy Martinez, his neighbor from across the street. The two continued to form a strong bond through friendship and eventually married in 1972. Together, they raised three children in Newport, Washington.
Will is survived by Kathy, his wife of 54 years; his children, Veronica (Roby), Will (Michael), and Beatrice (Michael); nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his mother (Darlene); siblings, Carol, Sue, and Howard; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by his generosity, warmth, and humor. He was preceded in death by his father (Bill).
A celebration of life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 12:00 PM at The One* Church (6311 E Mt. Spokane Park Dr.) in Mead, Washington. All are welcome to attend, celebrate, and share stories of Will's life.

It's with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Will. Will was the most kind, selfless, and generous person I knew. Will served his family, faith, country and community with love, honor, dignity and will truly be missed.
What we'll miss most is Will's corny sense of humor and bad jokes that always got a laugh -- not always so much about the punchline, but how corny it was. I will always cherish the time we spent together gathering firewood, our homemade Pierogi feasts and especially fishing for Catfish at the Cusick Bridge by his Grams house.
Our hearts are broken for all the family and friends that grieves our loss but especially for Kathy, Veronica, Will and Beatrice for their loss. Rest in peace Will, we love you Brother!

Will and Kathy have been wonderful neighbors and friends. They truly know how to show the love of Christ in their daily lives. He will be sorely missed and thought of often. Heaven got the most kind and precious man, who dearly loved Jesus and his wife Kathy!

Will & Kathy Manwill
The coolest, finest, prankster-est, devoted-est,, funniest, noble, honorable, exemplary couple I know that I've had the honor of calling, my friends.
I'm a bit lost over Will's early departure. God has some explaining to do.

My best friend and husband of 54 years. I met Will when we moved across the street from him. I was 9 he was 10. Unbeknown to me he would be my future husband. He was to shy to talk to me. I was teased he liked me. He was cute so I was fine with that. He was always doing pranks on me. He liked to come over a pull a prank on me. He was so funny, made me laugh. His first love was Jesus Christ and me second. We knew that having Jesus first was the glue that made a marriage successful. I was so blessed to have Will in my life. We always did things together. God is with me as I start a new journey in my life. God knows this is a temporary separation and I will see Will again in heaven. We serve an awesome God. Love you always Will my beloved husband.

Will and Kathy were, to me, the role model of marriage. I loved their "Best Friend" approach to life. They truly belonged to one another. The friendship offered will always be a treasure to me. There is NO doubt he is celebrating with his King!
