Jan 26, 1944 - Mar 5, 2026
George W. Bick III lived a very active life until the age of 82. He was always looking for new adventures despite his challenges with walking.
He was born on January 26th, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, to George and Shirley Bick. He lived in many areas of the United States and Guam during his childhood, but lived in Spokane most of his life. At the age of 9, he was joined by his brother, Jeff (wife, Debbie), and at age 11, his brother, David (wife, Myong Suk). They enjoyed many great times at Diamond Lake!
He graduated from Shadle Park High School and the University of Oregon, frequently stating, "Once a Duck, always a Duck".
George's entire work career was with the State of Washington, retiring as a Parole and Probation officer.
He is survived by his wife, Kari; children: Jerry (wife, Pon) Bick and Jennifer (husband, Chad) Fairchild. Grandchildren whom he enjoyed spending a lot of time with: Geordon, Jaiden, Chay, Jazmyn (fiancé, Kaydrien), Jillian, and Mena. Great-grandchildren: Sofia and Aayliah. Honorary great-grandchildren who brought him great joy: Amerah, Wesley, Elianna, Isabella, and Enzo. He was greeted in heaven by his parents, George and Shirley Bick.

I enjoyed working with George at the Department of Corrections. He was so easy to be around and always had something interesting to talk about.

I was George's intern at the Department of Corrections in 1989, and upon being hired he was my lead officer. After his retirement, I would see him at Knights Diner with his grandchildren where he loved to eat breakfast. He was a good, decent, and honorable man. May God bless his family who live on without him.
