Mar 14, 1931 - Mar 17, 2026
Donald Andrew Crisp, 95, peacefully entered eternal rest on March 17, 2026. He will be greatly missed.
Don was born on March 14, 1931, in Greenacres, Washington, to Vern and Iva Crisp. Upon graduating from Central Valley High School, he joined the US Naval Reserve, where he served for eight years.
In 1950, he married Linda Vigue (deceased), and the couple had three children.
He worked for a short period of time with project engineering at Hanford in Richland, Washington. After returning to Spokane, he began a 40-year career with Washington Water Power (Avista).
In 1981, he married Andrea (Simchuk) Crisp. They celebrated 45 years of marriage. He enjoyed deer hunting each fall and, in later life, watching them in his back fields. Don and Andrea made many road trips around the U.S. and later cruises. They visited all the continents in the world, often traveling with friends. He got his Amateur (ham) Radio Extra Class License in 1955 – W7ZNN and enjoyed providing radio communications for various community events, including Bloomsday. Don was a Section Communication Manager at one time for the American Radio Relay League and made ham contacts and friends all over the world.
Don is survived by his wife, Andrea Crisp, and his children, Cindy (Harold) Gammage, Jenna (Kathy) Crisp, and Don (Mary) Crisp. He has six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life later in the year.
