Edward Moniz Obituary

Edward Moniz, Sr., age 87 of Somerset, passed away at home on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015. He was the husband of the late Emma P. (Rego) Moniz and the son of the late Antonio & Mary (Medeiros Albino) Moniz. Prior to retiring, Edward worked for State Road Cement Block Co. as a forklift operator. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and a parishioner of St. John of God Church. He is survived by his son: Edward Moniz Jr. (girlfriend Nicole Smith) of Somerset; grandchildren: Melanie & Darian Moniz, & Jacob Morse; great granddaughter: Lele Morse; sister: Dolores Souza of Westport. His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday with calling hours from 9:00 | 10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 11:00 A.M.
