Renee Edgar Obituary
1935 to 2026
It is with profound sadness that we share the news that Renee Chilton (Newbold) Edgar passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026. She was 90 years old and was a beautiful wife, mother, mother-in-law, stepmother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was born on July 2, 1935, in Pocatello Idaho to Arthur Eldon and Mindwell (Mina) Varney Chilton. She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings; her brother Jay Chilton and her sisters Maxine Parker, Rolene Crandell and Kayla Messersmith as well as her husband, Eldon Edgar.
A celebration of life will be held from 11 am - 1 pm Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Memorial Lakeview Mortuary and Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive in Bountiful. The graveside service will begin at 1:15 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity and/or hug your loved ones.
