Kevin Stewart Obituary

On Sunday, January 18th, Kevin Bert Stewart found eternal peace.

He was born in NC to Craig and Alice Stewart. He moved around frequently when he was younger with his father and older brother, Johnny Stewart. Eventually they settled near Salisbury NC. Kevin attended West Rowan High, where he met and married his wife of 26 years, Anne. They successfully raised three children, Chris, Heather and Chaz.

Kevin was a skilled craftsmen and could fix almost anything. His skills and professionalism lead him to Freightliner in Cleveland and Penske racing. In 2022 he began working at Doosan Bob Cat in quality. He brought a wealth of technical skills and a desire for improving the company.

He married again in 2022, to Sabrina. Sabrina took him on a surprise trip to Cedar Island on 2/10/2022, and he began his addiction to the ocean. They both loved to travel and were best friends exploring the southern United States together. They had many good memories in Calabash and Atlantic Beach NC.

Kevin was a fun but hard worker and enjoyed many projects on their mini farm when they weren't traveling. He brought humor to every thing he did no matter how hard or dirty.

He never met a stranger and would have long conversations with people he just met. He was very outgoing and loved to sing and was exceptionally good at dancing. He taught himself how to play drums and filled in for missing drummers in several live bands. His children were his greatest passion. Playing drums and performing were a close 2nd. He would DJ, sing and play music all night if he didn't have work. He helped create magical moments everywhere he went.

He is survived by his children Chris (Mary) Stewart, Heather Stewart and Logan, Chaz Stewart, Anne Boggs, his wife Sabrina Stewart, his father and mother Craig (Maria) and Alice, grand children Olivia and Jayce, and his step grand daughter Genesis Pate, cousins Mellisa and Rena, and many cousins. The canyon he has left in our hearts can never be filled.
