Frank Coast Obituary

Frank Coast, 90

Frank Edward Coast, 90, of Kingston, Idaho, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away January 8, 2025 at Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was born December 30, 1934 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Olie and Lillian (Bomar) Coast.

Frank's family moved to Idaho around 1940. He attended school in Kellogg, where he met Lois "Elaine" Church and married her July 16, 1954. They had been married for 70 years before his passing.

Frank started work at a very young age, doing mechanic work as a teenager. As soon as he turned 18 and was able to work underground, he started his 40+ year career at the Bunker Hill Mine. He was a hard worker, starting early and working until the Bunker Hill Mine finally shut down. In 1963, he and Elaine bought their property out in Kingston where him and his father began to build their house from the ground up and started homesteading. He enjoyed riding horses and taking care of his homestead. He also loved being outdoors- hunting, camping, or going out for ATV rides. Frank spent a good portion of his life out in his garage working on cars, and even did a full restore on a Ford Mustang. He had so much talent when it came to building things or doing mechanic work.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, four sisters, Dorothy Bourgoisz, Betty Reardon, Vedelia Todish, Laurene Miller, two brothers, Jack Coast, Jack Reichart, and a grand-son, Joey Carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine (Church) Coast, his children, Cathy Coast of Osburn, Joanne Coast of Pinehurst, Gary (Kim) Coast of Kingston. He was also survived by three grandchildren, Christy Carpenter of Kellogg, Dustin (Breanna) Coast of Kingston, Courtney (Chad) Martello of Kellogg, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a sister, Bev McNutt of Spokane, WA.

Cremation will take place and at his request, no services will be held
