In Loving Memory of Francisco Javier Marquez
Francisco Javier Marquez passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout his illness, Francisco showed remarkable strength and grace. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and a man whose life was rooted in faith, service, and an extraordinary love for his family.
Born in Sonora, Mexico, Francisco came to California as a young man with determination and hope for a better future. Through hard work, integrity, and perseverance, he built a life he was deeply proud of. He became the owner and practicing dentist of Santa Fe Dental in Santa Fe Springs, a place that reflected who he was—warm, welcoming, and grounded in genuine care for others. Francisco truly loved his work and the people he served. His patients were never just patients; they were neighbors, friends, and extended family. His contagious laugh, gentle spirit, and reassuring smile put everyone at ease.
Family was the center of Francisco’s world. He was deeply devoted not only to his wife and children, but also to his siblings, nieces, nephews, and the children of his nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. He especially enjoyed spending time playing with the children in his family, bringing joy, laughter, and warmth wherever he went. He took great pride in staying connected, offering guidance, encouragement, and support whenever it was needed. Whether through quiet conversations, shared meals, or simply being present, Francisco made sure his family always felt loved, protected, and valued. His home—and his heart—were always open.
To those who knew him best, Francisco was the definition of selflessness. He gave freely of his time, energy, and heart, always putting others before himself. He had a rare ability to make people feel seen and important, and he found true joy in helping others and bringing people together.
Francisco is survived by his beloved wife, Zolita; his son, Ryan; his daughter, Francis; and his three cherished grandchildren, Jamisen, Natalia, and Esia Mari, who were among his greatest joys. He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of siblings, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who will forever carry his love, wisdom, and example in their hearts.
Francisco will be remembered for his kindness, humility, strong faith, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, the family he adored, and the example of compassion, generosity, and love he leaves behind.

Francisco (Kiko) truly was a good and selfless man. I remember on August 21, 2022, when the three of us—Kiko, Zol, and I—were sitting and talking on the back porch. In his quiet kindness, he offered to take a photo of Zol and me. It was a small gesture, yet it spoke volumes about who he was: successful yet humble; accomplished yet warm and approachable.
If I feel this loss, I can only imagine the sorrow of his beloved family. May the Lord grant them strength and peace during this difficult time, and may Kiko rest in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father.
