Mary LeBlanc Obituary

Mary Terese LeBlanc
Born: April 18, 1940 in Chicago, IL
Died: February 28, 2026 in Harvard, IL
Mary Terese LeBlanc nee Lucchetti, age 85 of Harvard, IL. Beloved wife of the late Edward (Buzz) LeBlanc. Loving sister of Robert "Bob" (Lori), Anthony, George and Larry Lucchetti. Kind Aunt of Marius Lucchetti. Devoted daughter of the late Anthony and Corine Lucchetti. Both Mary and her husband Buzz were born in Chicago. Moving around together, they had also lived in Buffalo Grove, IL, Maine, and Cincinnati, OH. However, it was Harvard, IL where Mary and her husband Buzz put down their roots. Together they were residents of Harvard for over 25 years. It was there they built their home and grew a deep admiration for their community. Mary Terese was an adventurer at heart. For over 50 years she frequented Lake Michigan with Buzz to sail the Great Lakes. They even taught Mary's brother, Bob, a thing or two about sailing. In 2020 her adventurous spirit was tested when she was given the travel opportunity of a lifetime. As a Northwestern University Alum, Mary Terese was given the chance to travel to Africa with her colleagues to go on Safari - and of course she took it! As an avid gardener and dedicated pet lover, Mary enjoyed tending to her plants as well as her fur babies Monti (dog), Vinni (dog), and Cinnamon (cat). In fact, Mary's garage was what many stray cats called home. Family was always Mary's number one priority. She exhibited that through her never-ending generosity to those she loved, and willingness to stop whatever she was doing to speak with a friend in need. Her independence was admirable and her moxie for life, inspiring. Mary Terese will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Services to celebrate Mary Terese's life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (Our Lady Chapel), 1775 Grove Street, Glenview, IL 60025. Lunch will follow the Mass at a Glenview restaurant which will be announced after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Geneva Lakes Animal Hospital, 100 Ridge Road, Walworth, WI 53184. Info: donnellanfuneral.com or (847)675-1990.
