Juris "Huey" Girgens passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Huey leaves behind his devoted wife, Geraldine "Gerri" Girgens, whom he married on January 15, 1977, as well as his loving sons: James M. Miller (married to Alma), Gary K. Miller (married to Kelli), and Scott A. Miller (married to Tracy).
Huey was a man who treasured family above all else. He found joy in life's simple pleasures-golfing, shooting/hunting, playing cards, and traveling. His presence brought warmth and laughter to every gathering, and he had a special way of making those around him feel welcomed and loved.
He is predeceased by his father, mother, and brother, Roy. Though he will be deeply missed, the light of Huey's stories, humor, "mean mug," and unmistakable grin will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him-family, neighbors, and friends alike.
Huey's legacy of love, strength, and joyful spirit is not extinguished, but burns on brightly within each of us.

Friends are welcome to visit with Huey's family on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 6:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 7:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake.
