I so enjoyed visiting with Janis; she told me many times that I was much like her--always working hard and serving others. She asked me when I was going to slow down...I told her that she set the bar high working into her 70s.....She was proud of her work, her family, and dear friends. She was part of the lunch bunch at Courthouse Cafe for many years and mighty good to RBCs oldest living member, Frances Reynolds, often taking chicken strips from Hardee's (Frances' favorite) to her for a lunchtime visit after church. She was definitely someone you wanted on your side---fiercely loyal and persistent. She loved her family and had pictures of them everywhere in her living room--she'd point them out proudly each time I'd visit. I'm so glad to have the privilege of knowing her and calling her My Friend. Her faith is now sight; she is with Jesus, Our Savior, in Paradise where there is no pain and are no tears only peace and joy!!! My deep condolences to the family.
