DONNA HENDRICKS Obituary

DONNA JEAN HENDRICKS Donna Jean Hendricks, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, graced us with her presence beginning April 14, 1942, until she went to be with her Lord on December 2, 2024. She was born in Britton, Okla., and was the youngest of eight children born to William Arnold and Susan Zora Pelts. She had a tenacious spirit and was warm and kind-hearted to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had an unwavering devotion to her family, especially her three children whom she loved dearly. She had a beautiful voice and used that gift to sing in her church choir. She loved to read, cook, garden, watch sports (especially the OU Sooners), dance and listen to music. Her greatest joy was engaging in conversation and sharing laughter with those she loved. She is survived by her daughters Lori Burns (Wayne), Lisa Hendricks, and her son Allen Hendricks (Christy Whitfield); her granddaughters Chelsea Burnett (Adam Lucio) and Candace Garza (Michael), and her grandson Sam Hendricks (Nouhaila Youssoufi); her great-grandchildren, Marshall Burnett and Eliana Garza; her brother Gib and sisters Roberta and Sue; her beloved niece Vicki Vanatta (Benny) and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Billy and Bud and her sisters Ruth and Bonnie. Her legacy will live on through the values she instilled in us - of love, kindness and resilience. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, and we will continue to honor her memory by living with the same grace and love she showed every day. We will remember her wit and her one-liners that will bring smiles and laughter to us as we go about our daily lives.
