I first met Bill Woody back in the early 90's when we both worked for Van Trow Oldsmobile in downtown Jackson, MS. Bill was always a sharp dresser, a "clothes horse" (his words.) He was funny, and held a gruff exterior to hide his sensitive side. He could charm the horns off a billy goat and was able to connect with people better than most. I remember a deal that had gone south because of a mistake made by one of our salespeople. Bill called the customer in and was able to salvage the deal, and get the buyer to pay more than originally quoted. I think his honesty and sincerity were his major strongpoints with people. You could sense that Bill really cared about you. Never one to mince words, you didn't want to get on the wrong side of an argument with him. There was his way and the highway and you were always free to choose. He was Old School all the way. We'll miss you Bill. Godspeed old friend.
