William Alfred "Alf" Taylor, age 94, of Camden, TN passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, in his Residence. Mr. Taylor was born June 13, 1915, in Carroll County, TN to the late William Clarence and Beulah Hudson Taylor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Lynn Taylor; one brother, James Hudson Taylor; and one sister, Leah Virginia Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a Veteran of WWII serving in European Theater of war. He then resumed his trucking operations and established Taylor Trucking in 1946. The company exists today with son William W. Taylor.
Survivors include:
Wife: Dona Taylor
One Son: William Taylor (Debbie)
One Daughter: Charlotte Pafford (Chip)
Grandchildren: Eric Malin, David Taylor (Michelle)
Great Grandchildren: Erica Malin, Haleigh Malin, Austin Malin, Ryleigh Taylor, Raegan Taylor
Great Great Grandchild: Carson Simmons
Visitation with the Taylor family will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be Friday, April 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Leonard Greer and Rev. Carey Womack officiating. Interment will follow in the Benton Memory Gardens.
