William Lee Nolan, 69, of Eastwood, KY (formerly of Loyall, KY) passed away very peacefully at his home. He went to sleep in his recliner and awoke in the arms of Jesus.
William was born June 8, 1955 to the late Grace and Leon Nolan.
William was a Christian and a long time member of Putney Bible Church, where he had been very active as a teen in the youth group and later serving as a deacon and in the sound room.
He spent 40 years of his life with Leo Miller and Associates as a surveyor and an inspector. He was a Professional Land Surveyor and enjoyed many years surveying in the mountains and underground.
In 2014, he and his wife, Regina, made the move to Louisville, KY to be near their son, William Leo David Nolan, daughter-in-law, Amanda Nicole Nolan and their first granddaughter, Sarah Makenzie Nolan. In 2015 their second granddaughter, Hannah Rose Nolan, completed their family.
In addition to his immediate family, William is survived by his sister and her husband, Carol and Dewey Cavins of Putney, KY and their children, Adam (Leslie), Andrew (Xin), Abby Johnson (Graham) and their children.
He is also survived by his oldest nephew, Ronald Dale Fox and wife, Sheila of Louisville, KY and his oldest niece, Marvelle Ilko and husband, Greg of Greenwood, Indiana and their daughter and her family.
He has a very special aunt, Lois Jean Bradford and husband Jim; and 2 uncles, Edgar Bowling and wife Martha Sue and family, and Shay Bowling and family that survive him.
Survivors also include his loving sisters-in-law, Nancye Nolan and LaVonis Miracle and her husband, Dennis. Loving friends like family, Leo and Sandy Miller and family; Sandy Mabelitini and family; Bill and Jeannie Clem and family; and his many coworkers and friends.
He is already terribly missed by his faithful rescue dog, Luke and his feline bed buddy, Daisy.
He is preceded in death by his big brother, Jim Nolan; sister,Vernice Fox; and his nephew, Troy Nelson Fox.
A graveside service will be officiated by Britt Lawson, III on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at Resthaven Cemetery, Keith, KY with a celebration of life immediately after the service at Putney Bible Church, Putney, KY.
