Wilbur "Pete" Marksberry, Jr., 67, of Covington, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife and family. Born on March 6, 1957, in Covington, KY, Pete was the son of the late Joyce and Wilbur Marksberry, Sr. Pete proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a dedicated member of his community. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge, where he built many cherished friendships over the years. Pete had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy, including playing cards, attending Turkey shoots, woodworking, shooting pool, and trying his luck with the lottery. But above all, he treasured the time spent with his close friends and loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by his brother: Jim McArter and sisters: Rosella Guilliams, Betty McArter, and Jackie Brooks. Pete leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years: Donna Marksberry; son: Wilbur (Pete) Marksberry III, daughter: Patricia (Danny) Kiefer; sisters: Brenda Gibson, Wilma Stephens, and Judy Marksberry; grandchildren: Lily Marksberry, Sean Marksberry, Adelynn Kiefer, and Amelia Kiefer. A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Mission Church of God, 7851 Tanners Lane, Florence, KY 41042. Services will be officiated by Pastor Wayne Guilliams. Pete's kind and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew him. His family was his greatest source of pride, and he leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
