Wanda Monnin Davis, born on October 4, 1952, in New Iberia, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2026, in Henleyfield, Mississippi. Wanda’s life was a testament to the values of love, family, and community.

A deeply sentimental person, Wanda treasured the memories she created with her family and friends throughout her life. She dedicated 25 cherished years to her life partner, Bart Johnson, who preceded her in death. Their bond was built on a foundation of shared experiences and mutual support, leaving an indelible mark on Wanda’s heart that endured beyond Bart’s passing.

Wanda’s unwavering commitment to her community shone through her active participation in the Operation Christmas Child ministry in recent years, where she found joy and purpose in serving others. Additionally, her involvement in various events and activities at Bethel Baptist Church allowed her to form some of her dearest friendships

She was proceeded in death by her parents Charles Alexander Monnin and Sara Barbin Monnin

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Neeley Berry (Mark) and Brandi Harper; grandsons, Derrick Berry and Hayden Berry,  brother Charles “Palmer” Monnin (Roxanne); along with nieces, nephews, and several lifelong friends who will all remember her warmth, kindness, and the many memories shared together.

As we remember Wanda, let us also celebrate the life she lived, filled with love for her family and a deep commitment to her community. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Poplarville, MS on April 24, 2026 at 3pm.
