Virginia Shank Obituary
Born November 27, 1944, in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Elizabeth (Mihalescu) Shank.
Virginia was a 1962 graduate of Hickory High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Edinboro University and her Master's Degree in Counseling from Westminster College.
She worked for many years as a school teacher and then a guidance counselor for Farrell School District. Upon retirement she became a Mary Kay Cosmetics Sales representative.
Virginia was a member of Holy Cross Orthodox Church and she liked dogs.
Surviving is her brother John Shank Jr. and his wife Avalyn of Hermitage, PA, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Orthodox Church. A funeral service will follow in the church with Fr. Spyridon Ickes officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 950 Maple Drive, Hermitage, PA, 16148.
Arrangements are being handled by the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA. 16146.
