Tylynn Cross Obituary

Tylynn Elizabeth Cross, 23, of Topeka, KS, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at her home from complications of diabetes. Tylynn was born August 13, 2002 in Fort Hood, TX, the daughter of Kody John and Gina Lu Starr Cross. She was a 2021 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School in Perry, KS.

She currently worked and served three years as lead teacher at Christ the King Early Education Center in Topeka. Tylynn was baptized at the Crossroads Cowboy Church in Williamstown. Tylynn loved spending time with her sister, Tyann, and going on sister dates with sister Karson.

She married Jefferson Camilo Fernandez on June 11, 2023 at Williamstown, they later divorced. Survivors include her mother, Gina Lu Cross, Killeen, TX, her father and step-mother, Kody and Casey Nickol Cross, Oskaloosa, KS, former husband, Jefferson Camilo Fernandez, Topeka, KS, maternal grandfather, Russell "Nick" Olliso, Jr., Grantville, KS, paternal grandparents, Kim and Elaine Reid, Mitchell, S.D., three sisters, Tia Cross, Killeen, TX, Tyann Cross, Topeka, Karson Cross, Oskaloosa, two brothers, Taysin Chandler and Tregg Brooks, both of Killeen, TX, and her dogs, Boomer, Coco and Prada, that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Tocarra Brooks and maternal grandparents, Peggy and Jim Star, step-grandmother, Sandy Olliso, and an aunt, Kyli Cross.

A Memorial Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Crossroads Cowboy Church in Williamstown, KS. followed by Visitation at the Church. Memorials suggested to Jefferson County Humane Society. Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa is assisting the family.
