Thomas Berg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - North Liberty on Mar. 14, 2025.
Thomas Vincent Berg, age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon, March 11, 2025. He was born on July 24, 1986, in Laporte, Indiana to Thomas Berg and Robin Trent. He was an inquisitive child who enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together.
He is survived by his son (Owen Collins), his sister (Ashley Berg), his parents (Thomas Berg and Robin Trent), his grandmothers (Marlene Berg and Constance Warren), and his five nieces and nephews (Kamren Hardesty, Skyra Brown, Olivia Bertrand, Alonzo Bertrand, and Catalina Bertrand).
Thomas was known for his humor, his carefree attitude, and his nonconformist character. He did not shy away from challenges in life. Quite the opposite, he embraced challenges and enjoyed overcoming obstacles. He had a knack for pushing you to think outside of the box, and to question social norms. He often thought of others before himself. If you asked him for help, he would do everything possible to help you. When he was passionate about something, he loved it deeply. You could say that he wore his heart on his sleeve. His family will miss his quirky comments, his silly texts, his laughter, and his lighthearted outlook on life.
Thomas enjoyed everything mechanical. He was skilled in many different trades, ranging from vehicle repairs to construction. He was known for being particularly resourceful and creative when it came to solving problems. He was most recently employed at a body repair shop in Plymouth, Indiana.
Services for Thomas will be held at 12:00pm, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home – North Liberty, 202 N. Main St., North Liberty, IN 46554. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am to the time of the service at the funeral home.
