A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Our Lady of Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur, La for Mr. Terry James Moore, 70, who passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Ochsner American Legion Hospital in Jennings, LA.
A visitation will be held at the Matthews Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, LA on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with a rosary recited at 6:00 PM. The visitation will resume at the Matthews Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, LA on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 8:00 AM until the time of his service.
Father Thomas will be officiating the services.
Interment will follow in the Andrus Cove Cemetery.
Terry was born on July 29, 1954, to Llyod Moore, Sr. and Anna Reed Moore in Jennings, La. Terry held a career as a truck driver throughout his life. He was very devoted to his religion and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who know him.
Terry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Connie Moore; one son, Aaron James Moore (Shalacy); four daughters, Leah Marie Baker, Melanie Ann Moore, Lisha Gale Moore, Britney Lynn Froehlich (Thomas); one brother, David Moore; his 15 grandchildren, Morgan, Alyssa, Tristan, Skyla, Zaelynn, Brady, Caavan, Asher, Jasper, Finley, Trikton, Nova, Braxton, Riley and Noah; his two great grandchildren, Carter and Eloise.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Llyod Moore, Sr. and Anna Reed Moore; one brother, Lloyd "Joey" Moore, Jr.; one sister, Pauline Moore Martinez.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home LAKE ARTHUR 317 KELLOGG STREET LAKE ARTHUR, LA 70549
