Terry Cable Obituary

Terry Eugene Cable, 70, of State College, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Born on July 27, 1954, in Bellefonte, and was the first son of the late Dick and Betty (Guisewite) Cable. On October 23, 1982, he married the love of his life, Karen (Brown) and they shared 42 years of marriage.
Terry is survived by his wife, Karen, his son Brandon Cable of Washington, and his daughter Marisa Skotko (Michael) of Ohio. Also surviving are his three brothers Todd, Tim (Barb), both of State College, and Tom (Sharon) of Bellefonte, along with many nieces and nephews.
Terry graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1972 and later went on to attend Ryder Technical Institute graduating with a Drafting Technology degree in 1975. His engineering roles at Center Engineering and Dennis Tool Company took him to places as far as Texas and Amsterdam, but he was most proud of his family. He was a life-long member of the National Ski Patrol and a certified first responder. He passed along his love of skiing to his parents, who skied well into their 70s, and his kids. Terry showed his love through food. Whether it was cooking up a storm at the Ski Patrol breakfast held every year, or "doctoring" up some dish at home, he was always planning his next creation.
There will be a public viewing held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 10:00-11:00am at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellefonte, PA, 216 N. McAllister St, Bellefonte, PA. Services to follow at 11:00am at the church. Burial services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
