Susan J. Beecham, 46, of Mayetta, KS, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025 unexpectedly at her home. She was born June 9, 1979 in Emporia, KS, the daughter of Robert L. Skidmore and Donna June (Kautz) Foye. Susan lived most of her life in the Mayetta, Denison, Goff and Holton communities. She worked as the Housekeeping Supervisor at Prairie Band Casino for 17 years and previously she worked for Koch and Cabinet Company in Seneca for over 8 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holton. She was a member of the "Struttin' Roosters", BBQ Smoking Competition Team. Susan enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, gardening, hunting, cutting wood, camping and going to concerts. Survivors include her children, Matthew Skidmore of Moberly, MO, Kinsey Beecham of Mayetta, KS and Jaxson Diehl of Seneca, KS; sisters, Jennifer Bontrager (Scott Fredrickson) of Holton, KS and Bobbi Havenstein of Manhattan, KS; grandson, Michael Skidmore; grandmother, Donna Hannigan of Osage City, KS; her best friend Rose (Todd) Stauffer of Mayetta, KS; nieces, Autumn, Jordynn, Lilli, Nora and Clara; great nieces, Tarynn and Adalynn; and great nephews, Kyler, Rhett and Reece. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Patrick Skidmore and fiancé, Ryan Diehl. Funeral Service will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends beginning at 4: 00 p.m. until service time. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to Mercer Funeral Home (to help with expenses) and sent to P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
