Jason Helt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mastapeter Memorial Home, Inc. on Jan. 30, 2026.
Jason A. Helt was born in red bank, living in Middletown then transitioned to Bayville. Jason was a hard working tree expert with Union Local 94 NJ with Asplundh and Davey Tree Expert then later receiving a promotion to General Forman.

Jay's legacy was to live life to the fullest, with loud independence, full of love for family and friends. He loved snow boarding, jet skiing, hiking, being by waterfalls and mountains, watching and playing sports, playing corn hole, traveling while enjoying great food and drinks. He was one of a kind personality who loved nothing more than spending his days outdoors. He had a caring nature for animals, he was a friend to all wildlife. Jay was a man of remarkable character, a protector, always honest and full of love. Jay had the biggest heart and would be there for friends and family in a heart beat no matter the situation. Jay was a great man, a brave man and a man who impacted so many lives with his presence, personality, strength and ability to somehow find a balance to still love openly beyond all that.

He leaves behind his wife Sonia Helt, his daughter Jaylin Helt, two granddaughters Jream & Melody Lewis, Mother in law Manuela Crispim and Father in law Carlos Crispim, Brothers Henry and Sergio Fallas, God mother and Aunt Laura Huderwitz, Uncle George Huderwitz, Dogs Fendi and Chanel, and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

He is reunited with, his father Russell Helt, mother Therese Gibbs, brother David Gibbs, Cousin Andrew Coyle and Patrick Coyle along with beloved dogs Bishop and Bella.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home located at 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721.
