Steven Wanicur Obituary

Steven M. Wanicur, age 76, of Deptford, NJ and formerly of Cinnaminson, NJ passed peacefully with his family by his side on February 13, 2025.
Steven was born in 1948 to the late Laura and Leon Wanicur. He grew up in Camden and Collingswood, NJ, where he graduated from Collingswood High School, Class of 1966. Steven went on to attend Rutgers University and then began his career with Household Finance Co. in Mt. Laurel, NJ, retiring as a Quality Control Supervisor after 34 years of service.
Steven married his wife, Diane H. (nee' Kaye), in 1973 and they enjoyed almost 52 years of marriage. Steve and Diane loved to travel together and visited many places throughout the US, Canada and Europe, with Steve having a special connection to Italy.
Steve played for many years in a bocce ball league in Cinnaminson. He enjoyed cigars and was an avid reader, especially enjoying Stephen King's novels and short stories. He was also an Eagles Season Ticket Holder for many years and, together with his sons and granddaughter, was able to watch them win the Super Bowl just a few days before his passing.
Steven is survived by his beloved wife, Diane H. Wanicur (nee' Kaye), and their sons, Jason L. Wanicur and his wife Susan, and Jonah L. Wanicur, as well his dear granddaughter, Isabelle Wanicur. In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by his brother, David Wanicur, and is survived by his sister-in-law, Elaine Levy, and nephew, Stuart Wanicur and niece Lee Wanicur.
