Shirley Jones Obituary

Shirley H. Jones, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from natural causes. Shirley was born November 5, 1935, in High Point, NC. She was the daughter of the late Lomas L. and Della R. Hunter.
Shirley attended Central High School and worked for Pennsylvania House. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved working in the yard and taking care of her roses. You could always find her sitting on the porch with the dog, watching the deer in the distance, or inside watching the John Wayne westerns that she loved so much.
Shirley is survived by her son Ricky and his wife Joanne Boles, daughter Kim and her late husband Ronald Jackson, son Scotty and his wife Lisa Boles, daughter Debbie and her husband Bruce Skeen, daughter Barbara Farmer, son David Jones, and close friend Pete McFadden. She also has 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
In her last few months, Shirley was under hospice care. Not only did they go above and beyond taking care of Shirley and the family, they made sure that Shirley had everything that she needed and were there when needed until the end. Thank you so much.
