Shirley Haynes Morris Obituary

Shirley Jean Haynes Morris,72, of Savannah, passed away, Sunday, November 10, 2024. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Second Creek Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow with Donny Allen officiating. Burial will be at Centneary Cemetery.
She was a special person, loving wife, mother, grandmother, devoted friend to many. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Walnut Grove. She grew up and lived on Second Creek for 65 years of her life on this earth. She loved her home and family and worked tirelessly to see that each were taken care of with the love she so freely gave. Shirley made many friends during her life, and it would be safe to say they would say they were better for knowing her. Kindness was her medicine for everyone. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gean Morris; son, Dwight Gene Morris; parents, John Arnold Haynes (Helen) and Beatrice Haynes; siblings, Bill Haynes, Barbara Howard, Judy McFall, and Ed Haynes.
Shirley is survived by her children, Christy McGuire (Tim), Ronald Morris (Katey), and Cindy Gean (Todd); sisters, Jennie Posey and Denise Wiley; grandchildren, Brooke Weaver, Anderson McGuire, Colin Morris, Sterlin Morris, Austin Gean, Ashton Gean, Easton Gean, and Landon Gean.
Pallbearers will be Norman Morris, Preston Morris, Derrick Morris, Colin Morris, Anderson McGuire, and Michael Posey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Austin Easton and Landon Gean.
