Shirley M. Fox, 95, of Frederick Living, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026. Born in East Greenville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Verna (Moll) Schlicher.

Shirley was a 1948 graduate of East Greenville High School, where her athleticism shone brightly as she participated in field hockey, basketball, and cheerleading. Later, she devoted herself to a long and fulfilling career at Pillsbury, where she worked as a line worker for 30 years before retiring.

In her personal life, Shirley cherished her 63 years of marriage to Carl L. Fox until his passing in 2014. Together, they built a warm and loving home that became a sanctuary for their family. Shirley's legacy of love will be carried on by her beloved daughter, Sally Heimbach and husband, Mark; son in laws, Jeff Bloomer and Mark Moyer; grandsons, Matthew (Lisa) Heimbach and Stephen (Kellie) Heimbach; two great-grandsons, Grover and Graham Heimbach; and her niece and nephew, Grace and Bill Fox. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Linda Bloomer and Kathleen Moyer; and her sister Mildred Schlicher.

Shirley was an active member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ in East Greenville, where she worshiped and enjoyed time in the quilting group. In her earlier years she was an avid bowler, participating in local leagues and fostering lasting friendships through the sport. Additionally, she enjoyed gardening and spending time at the senior center.

In her later years, Shirley delighted in the simple pleasures of life, often found playing cards or working on puzzles that brought her joy and a sense of accomplishment.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to New Goshenhoppen UCC, East Greenville, PA.
