Shirley Clifton Obituary

Shirley V. Clifton was born May 31, 1944 in Jacksonville, IL. She was the daughter of Harold and Virginia (nee Short) Johnson. She died on February 5, 2026 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her two sons, Robert Clifton, Park Hills, MO and David (Lisa) Clifton, De Soto, MO; one brother, Ty Johnson, Jacksonville, IL and one sister, Carol Dolen, Jacksonville, IL; two grandchildren, Maddi (Collin) Underwood and Travis (Desi) Clifton; and two great-grandchildren, Theo Clifton and Hudson Underwood. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Clifton and siblings, Barbara Tippy, Gary Johnson, Joyce Floyd, Rowdy Johnson and Robin Johnson. Shirley worked in the assessors office in St. Louis County and she also served as a real estate agent. She was a member of the De Soto Community Church of God while she was living in De Soto; she is currently a member of Flat River Church of God, Park Hills, MO.
