Shirley Burger Obituary

Shirley Ann Burger, 92, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in West Bend Nursing Facility.
Shirley was born on December 16, 1932 in South Bend, to the late Donald A. and Helen (Merrill) Pinckert. On June 21, 1952, Shirley married the love of her life, Dale W Burger, he preceded her in death, along with a son, David Burger and a great-granddaughter, Mia Kathleen Burger.
Left to cherish Shirley's memory are her children, Pamela (James) Creech and Leslie (Joshua) Roden; grandchildren, Kathie (Jeff) Corban, Michelle Cave, Stephanie (Stan) Park, Jessica (Kelsey) Burger, Tony Reinhold, and CJ Reinhold, all of South Bend, IN, and David (Courtney) Burger of Winchester, IN; and several precious great-grandchildren.
Shirley was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1950. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Bendix Corp for 18 years. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ since 1959 and helped head their Benevolent Department for several years. She also worked in the church office for 5 years. Shirley enjoyed sewing, knitting, counted cross stitch, bird watching, genealogy, puzzles and light houses. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Visitation for Shirley will be held 11:00am to 12:00pm on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the West Side Church of Christ, 22987 Edison Rd., South Bend, Indiana with the Funeral Service to begin at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
