Peggy Vandiver Whitson Obituary

Peggy Diane Witson, 77, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Drewery and Arella Vandiver; children, Sammy Stout, Paula Stout, and Bradley Cagle; brothers, Ray Vandiver, James Vandiver, Johnny Vandiver, Clay Vandiver, and Tim Vandiver; and sisters Katherine Vandiver Huelett, Annie Ruth Vandiver Cook, and Marie Vandiver Holland.
She is survived by her companion of twenty years, James Travis; children, Wayne Stout, Shelia Stout, and Rhonda Moore; grandchildren, Haley Stout, Brianna Roy, Zack Stout, Eric Stout, Katlin Hollis, and Brandon Stout; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family gratefully acknowledges the care and support of the staff, especially Misty, of Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, as well as Helen Keller ICU.
