Mary Lou (Hasson) McCarthy, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at Immaculate Mary Nursing Home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Born on February 16, 1935, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Sterling and Eleanor (Link) Hasson. She spent her early years in Maryland before eventually settling in Philadelphia, where she built a life and career. Mary Lou dedicated many years of service to the Internal Revenue Service in Philadelphia, contributing her skills and commitment to public service.

Mary Lou was known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life. She was a proud member of the Susquehanna American Legion Auxiliary Unit 135 in Perryville, Maryland. Her love for Las Vegas and gambling brought her joy and excitement over the years. She also had a passion for dancing and celebrating life—always ready to enjoy a good party with those around her.
