Rodger Earl Peirce, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 27, 2025. He was born in Butler County, Pennsylvania, on June 24, 1938.
Rodger was a hard worker all his life, but his true joy was his family. Carol Mersing was the love of his life. They married in April, 1964 and were devoted to each other over 60 years. She survives him. He was beloved and survived also by his three daughters and their husbands - Wendy & Jay Colbert, Cindy & Bernie Imhoff, and Melissa & Rob Ugianskis.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Woodrow Peirce & Mabel Ralston Pierce, and by his sister and her husband, Clara "Rusty" & Denny Durr. Sister Betty Jones and her husband Gene survive him. He is also survived by his beloved sister-in-law and roomie, Linda Mersing. His brother-in-law and lifelong friend, "Skip" Mersing predeceased him, but wife "Ginger" Mersing survives. He leaves behind his cherished 11 grandchildren, Andrew Colbert, Madeline Fedor, Alexandra Rice, Abigail Colbert, Emma Colbert, Sophia Colbert, Eliza Simmons, Ethan Colbert, Gavin Ugianskis, Dylan Ugianskis, and "Trey" Imhoff. He is also survived by 16 beloved great-grandchildren.
An avid nature lover, especially the woods, he was happiest outdoors - camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking. He instilled the joy and wonder of sitting at peace in God's creation into his children and grandchildren, with his endless patience. He brought constant joy & laughter to his family with his well-known sense of humor and his passion for games. His easy-going nature still allowed for a competitive spirit.
He leaves a legacy of boundless love, strong honor, and steadfast dependability. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Rodger, please visit our Tree Store.
