Rocky "Goosie" Cuozzo, 89, of Monroe Township, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Born and raised in the Silver Lake section of Belleville, Rocky was the son of the late Michael and Angelina (Santinello) Cuozzo. Rocky lived in Lake Hiawatha and Parsippany, later moving to Toms River and then to Monroe Township in 2013. He developed his unwavering work ethic at a young age, which continued until the day he retired in his eighties. Throughout his married life, Rocky worked in the construction industry. Late in his career, he was a bridge and road inspector in Somerset County.
Rocky is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Ruth (nee Orlando) Cuozzo; his devoted son, Frank P. Cuozzo and wife Michelle Sauther, and devoted daughter Kimberley J. Toto and husband Ralph; and grandchildren Raphael Gabriel Toto and Olivia Angelina Toto. Rocky was the dear brother of the late Anthony "Nene" Cuozzo, Gracie Dondarski, and Marie Mustica, and is also survived by his brother-in-law, Stanley Dondarski and his sister-in-law Debbie Cuozzo
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, April 3, at 12 noon, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
