Mrs. Roble R. Lara, 92, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on October 21, 2024, at a local hospital, having been faithfully surrounded by her loving and caring family by her side.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband: Sotero Lara; parents: Jose Santana Ramos and Guadalupe Padilla de Ramos; sons: Roberto R. Lara and Simon Lara Sr., as well as her siblings and a great number of relatives and friends who now greet her in paradise.
Celebrating her beautiful life on this earth are her children: Bertha Alicia (Jose Maria) Sanchez, Antonio Lara, Juan Lara, Eleazar Lara, Alma Delia (Javier) Zamora, Laura Lara; grandchildren: 21, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends she met along the way.
Mrs. Lara's family will gather on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 5 o'clock in the evening to 9 o'clock, in the chapel of Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Rosary will be offered for the eternal repose of her soul at 7 o'clock.
Her final journey will begin at 8:20 am from Hillside Funerals & Cremations to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where a Liturgy of the Word and Communion will be held at 9 o'clock in the morning.
She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Sotero Lara at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery immediately following the service.
Pallbearers will be: Eleazar Lara, Andrew Smith, Jose G. Aello III, Elliot Sanchez, Alexis Sanchez and Simon Lara, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Antonio Lara and Juan Lara.
The family has entrusted Hillside Funerals and Cremations; 310 W. Hillside Rd,; Laredo, TX 78041; 956.724.6060 with her funeral arrangements.
