Robert "Larry" Price (77) of Appomattox, VA fought courageously through his cancer battle but passed away at home on August 13th.
Larry was born to John B. & Dorothy G. Price on July 20, 1947, in Lynchburg, VA. He was raised on Reed St. and attended EC Glass high school. He was a natural musician and learned to play the organ/piano by ear. His amazing talent led him to play publicly in the popular high school band (The Galaxies), in numerous churches and public events over the years.
He was also a free spirit who adored the open road! Driving tractor trailers, motorcycles, and classic cars was his true passion and to him each one he ever owned was "top of the line".
Larry never met a stranger. His gift of gab and clever sense of humor was intriguing, and oh the stories he could tell us! These are memories and good times that will forever live in the hearts and minds of so many.
He is survived by two daughters, Brandie Hostetter (David) and Christyl Dunn (Rodney); sister and brother, Marshall Ann Gwin and John B. Price Jr.; niece and nephews, Jennifer Brown, John Price III, Mike Price; grandchildren, Mallorie and Dakoda Hostetter, Dustin Sloan, Kierstin Dunn; great grandchild, Greyleigh Young.
A special thank you to the dear Pastors and friends whom Larry held close in his heart.
A silent funeral is being prepared and per Larry's request, no other services will be arranged. A celebration of his life will be held, and details of this gathering will be shared with close friends and family soon.
