Bob died on 03/04/2025 surrounded by his family. Robert Arthur Koch was born in Wenatchee, WA on 10/27/1941 and was always proud to have been born and raised there. However, Bob's true love was Lake Chelan.
Before moving there permanently, he returned to his beloved lake as much as possible for 83 years, no matter where he lived. It was truly his happy place, and he was so grateful for it.
Bob spent a good portion of his life with sports as a central part of it. Many of his teammates were friends he met as early as elementary school and continued to be friends with through his time at Wenatchee High School. Many from this group of athletes went on to win the football state championship their senior year in high school. Great times were had as a Washington State University Cougar and member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Most of his business career was in sales, beginning as an insurance agent, then as a Boeing Computer Sales Executive, and his later years in sales in the fruit industry. As the saying goes, he could sell dirt to a farmer with his charm and good looks.
Bob became a believer later in his life and greatly appreciated his pastor and family at Living Stone Church. He was closer to God with each hymn he sang off key.
His most cherished times and memories were made with family and friends on the water and ending the day with a cold one at the barbecue.
All in all, he had a wonderful life with only one regret that he couldn't get to his beloved lake one last time.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Ann Koch (Burroughs), his children, his sister, extended family and dear friends.
