Harriette Isabelle Roehling, affectionately known as Isabelle, graced this world with her presence on May 1, 1929, in Seneca Falls, New York. A devoted soul, Isabelle passed away peacefully in her home in Sunrise, Florida, on February 6, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering dedication to her community and family.
She was deeply devoted to her church, St. Bernard Catholic Church, where she selflessly served her parish with a spirit of generosity and warmth. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and nurturing her relationships.
A talented seamstress, Isabelle found joy in the artistry of fabric and thread. Her creativity extended beyond clothing; she was a founding member of the Life after 50 Fellowship, where she fostered connections and camaraderie among fellow parishioners. Additionally, her involvement with the Elkettes, formerly of BPOE 2273, reflected her commitment to community service and engagement.
The richness of Isabelle's life is beautifully encapsulated in the love for her family. She is survived by her loved daughter Margaret (Peggy), whose husband is William Diamond. The her family extends to her grandchildren: Bobby, Charlotte and her husband Al, and Jesse, each of whom carries forward her spirit in their lives. The joy of a great-grandmother lies in her great-grandchildren: Albert, Hayden, and Avery. Hariette joins her beloved husband Norman Edward in eternal rest. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Victoria.
Amidst the fabric of her life, Isabelle shared treasured bonds with her long-time loyal friends, including Ted, Donna, and Brian Veskosky. Their companionship painted her years with laughter and camaraderie, creating a tapestry of memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Isabelle's journey on this earth is marked by the indelible impact she made on the lives of those around her. Though she now joins her beloved husband and son, Michael, in eternal rest, her spirit remains vibrant among her family and friends, instilling in them the values of kindness, faith, and creativity.
A Mass in her honor will be held on February 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Sunrise, Florida. The community is invited to gather, celebrate her life, and reflect on the beautiful legacy left by an extraordinary woman.
