Kathryn Rardin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bodkin Funeral Home - Milan on Jan. 16, 2026.
Kathryn Jewell McMinn Rardin, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in her hometown of Milan, Tennessee. Born on January 25, 1947, to the late Jewell and Dorothy Spain McMinn, Kathryn's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the love she had for her family and community.

A proud graduate of Milan High School in 1965, Kathryn's early education laid the foundation for a life characterized by continuous learning and a deep appreciation for the history and culture of her beloved Milan. Her intellectual curiosity and commitment to personal growth remained evident throughout her life.

Kathryn's legacy is carried on by her children, Jeffrey Coffman, Donna Bates, and Kristine Mott (David). She was a beacon of guidance and strength for her grandchildren, Daniel Mott, Autumn Mott, Brandon Kaemmerling, and Lukas Kaemmerling, who will forever cherish the wisdom and warmth she imparted. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Marie LaBarre and Doris Ann Smith, and her grandson David Bates.

A devout member of the Temple Baptist Church, Kathryn's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. Her involvement in the church community was not just a reflection of her beliefs but also an expression of her desire to serve and connect with others. Her faith provided her with comfort and purpose, guiding her through life's challenges and joys.

As we bid farewell to Kathryn Jewell McMinn Rardin, we celebrate a life well-lived-a life filled with love, faith, and a profound commitment to her family and community. Memorial graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 2 PM at the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan.
