Heaven welcomed another angel home. Rhonda Kay Powell of Liberty, Indiana passed away on January 29, 2025 at Reid Health. Rhonda was born July 16, 1960 to her parents, Carlos and Georgia Lakes Powell.
Rhonda was a true servant of God and a Prayer Warrior for her family. She was very proud of being an Ordained Minister. She adored her nieces and nephews and enjoyed entertaining them with her funny antics. Her beloved cat, Missy, and dog, Mickey, always occupied her lap.
Although Rhonda's life on earth was much too short, she fearlessly fought the good fight and won the race. Her greatest desires were to be united in heaven with her parents and to serve the Lord.
She is survived by a brother, Harold (Carol) Powell of Maryland; two sisters, Bernice Isaac and Connie (Cecil) Hudson of Connersville, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Dustin Hudson.
Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main, Liberty, on Tuesday February 4, 2025 at 2:00 pm with her nephew, Logan Sanford, officiating. Family and friends may gather from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at West Point Cemetery.
