Raymond Schell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - Guisinger Chapel on Mar. 5, 2025.
Raymond E. Schell, 69, of South Bend passed away on Monday March 3, 2025, at his home.
Raymond was born on August 3, 1955, in Niles, MI to the late Raymond Schell and Beverly (Massie) Demario.
Raymond retired after 38 years working for Stone Container (now West Rock) as a Machine Operator.
Raymond played in different bands over the years, since the age of 17. He lived a wild life, a happy life, and loved to drive cars in the "open wheel midget racing" series. He was affectionately known as "the tree" because of his hair.
Raymond is survived by his mother, Beverly (Steve) Demario, his sister; Maria Schell (Scott Maggard), and his half-siblings; Linda Clark and Murray (Murna) Kramer.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and his half-sister, Judy Kramer.
A celebration of life is planned for a later date. He will be interred on his father's grave at a Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is honored to be caring for the family.
