Mr. RA Legette, 66, of Summerville, SC, passed peacefully Thursday morning at his residence.
His funeral will be 3:30 Monday afternoon, March 24, 2025 at the graveside, at Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, with Masonic Rites. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Omar Shriners Children's Hospital – Greenville at https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/give/119312/#!/donation/checkout.
Mr. Legette was born December 27, 1958, in Moncks Corner, SC a son of Rufus A. Legette, Sr. and Mattie Burbage Legette. He was employed by Diva D Enterprises and loved what he did. Mr. Legette was a proud Omar Shriner, a member at Masonic Lodge 234, Summerville, and a member of the Dorchester Shrine Club. Mr. Legette was a lifelong Berkeley County resident and loved to deer hunt, go camping, golf, especially in the Shriner tournaments, and watch NASCAR. He also used to race at the Summerville Speedway. Above all Mr. Legette was a people person and loved to spend time with his family and friends. From time to time, he also liked to enjoy a cold Budweiser.
Surviving are his wife Renee Legette; three sons Alan Legette and his wife, Lauren, Robbie Legette, and Timmy Nelson; a daughter, Erica Campbell and her husband John; seven grandchildren, Mackenzie, A.J., Macie, Hunter, Drew, Justin, and Leila; and one great-grandson, Cohen. He is also survived by his Brothers-in-Arms whom he considered dear friends.
