Quintionette Jackson, affectionally known as "Quin" who left this world on February 15, 2025, at the age of 63, was born on September 11, 1961, in Decatur, Illinois. Quintionette was a beloved daughter of Palmer Pitts and Laverne (Thomas) Pitts.
Quintionette dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a nurse and in administration within various group homes and nursing facilities. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to her patients touched the lives of many, and she was known for her warm, nurturing spirit.
An alumna of Eisenhower High School and the Decatur School of Practical Nursing, Quintionette was not only a skilled healthcare professional but also an intelligent and witty individual. She had a goofy personality that brought laughter and joy to those around her. Quintionette enjoyed playing bingo, watching game shows, and traveling to new places. Most cherished were the moments spent with her grandchildren, Novah and Navy Carter, whose smiles brought her immense happiness.
Quintionette is survived by her loving daughter, Diamond Phelps; her siblings, Teranus Pitts, Palius Pitts, and Eldorado Pitts; aunts and uncles, Vincent Pitts, Ramona Wilson, Victor Pitts, Veronica Taylor, Sandra Fleming, Vance Pitts, Candy Pitmon, Beverly Stepney, Warren Thomas, and Darryl Thomas; her special friend, Louis Jacocks; and numerous of special relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and her brother, Sunseray M. Thomas, uncles, Alexander Pitts and Drakey Pitts, who will forever be remembered in the hearts of their family.
Quintionette's legacy of kindness, humor, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
