Qua'Dry Lyons Obituary

Qua'dry "Quaddy" "Q" William Amir Lyons, 29, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1995, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. Qua'dry was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore, where he grew up surrounded by family and friends who cherished his vibrant spirit and warm heart.
Qua'dry graduated from Neptune High School in 2014 and immediately set out to fulfill his dream of becoming a firefighter. He began his career as a volunteer firefighter with the Neptune Township, Glendola, and Lakewood Fire Departments. In July 2024, Qua'dry was officially hired as a professional firefighter with the Lakewood Fire Department, a career he was deeply passionate about. He also worked for IEW Construction and was an active member of LiUNA Local 472 Heavy and General Laborers Union.
Qua'dry held many titles in life, outside of work, his favorite role was being a brother. His friends became his brothers. He was a man of integrity, strength and dedication who inspired everyone who knew him. He encouraged leadership, brotherhood and success. Qua'dry was a free spirit who loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his brothers. He was passionate about football with it being the sport he loved to play and grew to be a die-hard NY Giants fan.
Qua'dry was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Mary Alice and Junious Bowers II; his aunt, Cynthia Bowers and uncle, Artenas Bowers.
He is survived by his mother, Claren Gilliam (Elijah), of Jackson, NJ and his father, Junious Bowers III, of Ocean Twp, NJ. Qua'dry leaves behind his beloved sisters: Asiona Lyons of Ocean Twp, NJ; Ceiona Bowers of Jackson, NJ; Jaden Bowers of Neptune, NJ; Marilyn Bowers of Texas and Brooklyn Temple of Jackson, NJ. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Ardee and William Lyons of Neptune, NJ; his uncle, Jeffrey Bowers of South Carolina; his aunts: Meriel Holder (William) of Marlboro, NJ; Dr. Laurie Lyons of Freehold, NJ and his nephew Jaxon Hernandez of Ocean, NJ along with his extended family, the Gilliams. The family wishes to express gratitude to Qua'dry's closest friends who became more like family for their unwavering love and support and who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Qua'dry will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His kind spirit, laughter, and dedication to helping others will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the communities he served.
