It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Rossi Meyer who passed away on 3/12/2025 at the age of 73.
Viewing and mass will be held at Saint Lucys Catholic Church, 118 Seventh Ave, Newark, NJ 07104, 973-803-4200 at 10:30. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ immediately after.
Phyllis was born and raised in Newark, NJ before moving to Bloomfield, NJ, and then to East Brunswick, NJ. She attended St Rose of Lima grammar school, East Orange Catholic High School and worked an Election Specialist at National Labor Relations Board until retiring in 2011.
She was the loving mother of Kristin, Justin and his wife Kim, devoted grandmother to Justin (JT), Brady and Ava. She was also the dear sister of Joanne, Tom (her twin), Carole and her husband Bill. She is also survived by Niece Brianna, Nephews; Marc, Tommy and Michael, great nephews Brayden, Logan and Kellan and great niece Alexa, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Joanne Rossi.
She will be remembered for her beauty, style and love of animals. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Lucy's Church, Newark at 10:30AM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. There will be no prior visitation.
