Pheobie Ann Dingess, 79 of Harts, WV, departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Boone Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 7, 1946, in West Hamlin, WV the daughter of the late Claude Lambert and May Messer Lambert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Carey Dingess, son, Rodney Odell Lambert, son-in-law, James "Jr" Manns, daughter-in-law, Sandra Dingess, siblings, Bill (Linda) Lambert, Justine (Bobby) Adkins, Whitty (Judy) Lambert, Joe Lambert, Dennie (Dorothy) Lambert, Ezra Lambert, and Sharon (Clemmet) Richards and her special friend, Grady Browning.
Pheobie enjoyed cooking, working in the garden, planting flowers, watching westerns especially Gunsmoke and most importantly she loved playing and acting a fool with her great grandkids. She was an honest hard-working woman that didn't ask for much. Pheobie was the type of person that would do without before asking for it.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Toney "Zeke" Dingess and Carl "Shorty" Lambert; one daughter, Louise Manns; four granddaughters, Toni Leigh (Alex) Hager, Elsie (Thomas) Kirk, Ashley (Ernie) Lambert and Veronica (Hunter) Brumfield; nine great grandchildren, Leighton, Kynslee, and Skylar Hager, Sophia, Nora and Oliver Kirk, Joe and Kinlee Lambert and Melvie Brumfield; three siblings, Georgie Richards, Jim (Virginia) Lambert and Richard Lambert; and her close friends, Libby Adkins and Nancy Blair.
Arrangements are incomplete.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
