Paul Eudell Sanders, born November 16, 1935, in Roscoe, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, in Castroville, Texas, at the age of 89.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Deloris Sanders; his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Mildred Sanders; his son, Gerald Sanders; and his brother-in-law, Jack Stone. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Stone of Sweetwater, Texas; his daughter Tammy Kothe-Ramsey and her husband Ken Ramsey of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter-in-law Julie Sanders of Balch Springs, Texas; granddaughters Brandy Reeve and her husband Jeremy of Rowlett, Texas, Amanda Vargas of Sachse, Texas, Bethany Kothe of San Antonio, Texas; grandson Alan Sanders-Kothe of San Antonio, Texas; great-grandsons Brent Lindsey II and Ethan Vargas of Sachse, Texas, Christian Reeve of Fate, Texas; fiancée, Jean Peters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
On June 28, 1957, Paul married the love of his life, Mildred, in Sweetwater, Texas. Together they built a life filled with love and adventure. Following in the footsteps of his father, Paul successfully operated S & S Painting in Abilene and Garland, Texas, as well as Sand Tech Coatings in Balch Springs. He worked closely with his son Gerald just as he had once partnered with his own father.
Paul had a passion for hunting and fishing in his earlier years but later traded those pursuits for the open road on his Honda Goldwing motorcycle. He and Mildred enjoyed traveling across the United States together. A devoted member of First Baptist Church Castroville, Paul found joy in serving and attending his church community.
A live celebration service will be held at a later time. May Paul's memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
