Patricia Kreuz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coyle Funeral and Cremation Services - Toledo on Feb. 7, 2026.
Patricia (Pat) Mary Kreuz passed away on February 2, 2026. She was born September 3, 1929, to Joseph Irving and Bertha (Lehman) Irving in Toledo.

All five of her brothers Joseph, Eugene, William, Richard, and Arthur proceeded her in death.

She is survived by her children Kevin (Nada), Cindy (Edward deceased), and Keith.

Grandchildren Lindsay, Lauren ( Jeff), Kevin, Breanna, Gabriella, and great grandchildren Patrick, Charlotte, Caleb, and Celestine.

She worked for Lucas County until retirement.

She LOVED to travel.

She grew up in the old south end and went to Immaculate Conception School (Darby) and attended high school at her cherished Central Catholic High.

Among many other activities, she played women's HS basketball at the very beginning of women's team sports. It's probably where she acquired the grit that took her into her late 90's

A great example of love, friendship, and commitment sprung from those early years. In the middle grades at Darby one of the nuns helped a few of the girls organize a group. No officers, no leaders, just friends caring and making sure they made time for each other.

Today we might call it a social club. Back then "Club" was exactly what they called it. And those girls kept meeting on a regular basis multiple times a year even as they scattered across northwest Ohio and beyond. And as their families started growing, they adapted by adding multiple regular family events to the calendar.

The only thing that could break them up was Father time. They met regularly into their seventies when members started passing. But the survivors never lost touch. They always supported each other.

There will be "Club" members at Pat's funeral service.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 9 at 10:30 a.m., with a hour of visitation beginning at 9:30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio. The burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Coyle Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, please make a gift in her memory to one of the programs at St. Francis de Sales HS, Notre Dame Academy, or St. John Jesuit HS. Please leave a condolence message for the family at CoyleFuneralHome.com.
