Ovlen Robinette Obituary

Ovlen Lee Robinette, 84, went to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at his home in Duffield, Virginia. He was praising the Lord up until he went to sleep and went home. He was a loving, caring, and humble man. He was a long time attendant of Jasper Central Baptist Church, where he spent many years worshiping with his church family. He will be missed by many. He touched so many hearts and wanted to spread laughter and Gods love. He will be waiting on the far side of Jordan.

Lee was born on December 25, 1941 to the late William and Gladys Robinette in Lee County, Virginia.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Penny Robinette; brothers, William Robinette, LE Robinette, James Robinette, Elmer Robinette, Omer Robinette, and Chester Robinette; sisters, Elgie Bumgardner, Fannie Sturgill, Emma Grills, and Alene Clark.

Those left to cherish his memory is his daughters, Amanda Lane, Jennifer Tritt, Jackie McPherson, Katie Robinette, and Christy Elliot; brothers, Curtis Robinette and Allen Robinette; grand children, Caleb, Amber, Christopher, Laura, Gabriel, Nathan, Aaron, Zander, Ethan, Allison, and Addison; great grand children, Maddie, Lidia, Cadence, and Dawson. As well as his fur baby, Blaze.

Lee will be cremated with a memorial service on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Jasper Central Baptist Church.
